Human PACAP 28-38 Monoclonal Antibody (PAC-4A8-2D7)
PACAP, also known as Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase-Activating Polypeptide, is predominately found in the hypothalamus. PACAP Uniprot # P18509 belongs to the vasoactive polypeptide/glucagon/secretin family and exists as a 27 or 38 amino acid neuropeptide. PACAP is involved in a diversity of functions, including regulation of neurotransmission, cell proliferation, and vasodilation. In the mammalian brain, PACAP is predominately found in the hypothalamus, and its role in neurotransmission has been linked to clinical disorders, including migraines.
