Visceral adipose tissue-derived serpin (Vaspin) aka SerpinA12, UniProt # Q8IW75, is an adipokine originally isolated from visceral adipose tissue and is a member of the Serpin family of serine protease inhibitors. Increased levels of vaspin are observed in obesity as well as type 2 diabetes and its expression positively correlates to body mass index and insulin sensitivity.
Sourced from mouse monoclonal IgG1 with reactivity in humans. Targets Vaspin and is a clone of VPN-3C4. Protein G purified from hybridoma cell culture supernatant. Applications include ELISA, Immunoprecipitation, and Western Blot Analysis. Arrives in a Lyophilized Vial shipped by FedEx Overnight.
