C1q/TNF-related protein 1 (CTRP1) is associated with numerous processes in the body including cardiovascular health and metabolism. CTRP1 is linked to adverse events in coronary artery disease and in elevated in patients with hypertension and congestive heart failure. CTRP1 also has a role in energy homeostasis, insulin sensitivity and is elevated chronic kidney disease.
